True restoration whether for humans or forests, starts beneath the surface, by encouraging young strands to take and gain strength.

I present one panorama landscape image in 3 edition sizes. Seedlings of Oak, Scots Pine, Aspen, Alder, Rowan and Birch- some of the ancient species of the UK Temperate Rainforest which I have been able to photograph.

In my ongoing documentation of the Thousand Year Trust’s work at Cabilla Woods, I have focused on the replanting of indigenous tree species, capturing not just what is visible above ground but also what remains unseen. This image reveals the intricate root systems of young seedlings—delicate, vital and significant in size and the unseen architecture of renewal, where growth begins.
